Salary:  $73,421 - $77,138 per  annum + super + leaseback vehicle

Position Status: Permanent full time

Hours of work: 35 hour week with a RDO every third week

If so, the position of Community Development Team Leader is for you.

 

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience working in a community services/development environment. Council is seeking an innovative professional with proven experience, an ability to lead and motivate staff to deliver community development outcomes across a range of demographic groups. Have you an understanding of the diverse needs of a regional community, including the operations of a community centre, as well as community event planning, delivery and evaluation experience.

The successful candidate will establish and grow partnerships and networks both internally and externally to the organisation.

The position reports directly to the Manager Community Services.

 

Key requirements:  
  • To provide leadership and direction to the Community Development team.
  • To directly supervise Community Development staff, facilitate interaction and support across all areas of work.
  • To assist with advocacy and drafting of social and community planning documents to ensure positive social and community outcomes across all identified/targeted demographics within the community.
  • To proactively strengthen relationships between Government and Non-Government agencies to ensure collaboration in delivering outcomes that meet relevant community needs.
  • To lead and oversee the operations of the Kelso Community Hub.
  • To facilitate and oversee successful development of community events eg: Senior’s Festival, Youth Week, Harmony Day, International Women’s Day.
